Rostam has been adopted.

The name Rostam is a boy’s name meaning “tall, strongly-built, brave”.
Used in Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, this strong-sounding name belonged to a hero in Persian legend. Its derivation is unclear, but the consensus seems to be that it relates to the hero’s great size and strength, possibly from Avestan raodha “to grow” and takhma “strong, brave, valiant”.

Rostam was purchased as a Livestock Guardian Dog on a ranch in Texas. However, he took to dispatching chickens and was sent on his way. He was purchased from a breeder, kept outside 24/7, and had little socialization.
He loves people and was good with other dogs. He was so dirty and badly matted that we had him bathed and groomed the day before transport. He is a young, friendly, big guy (125 pounds) who does not want to live outside anymore. He is heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, dewormed, micro-chipped, and ready for his forever home. Please fill out a non Bulldog application on our website; under Adoption.

  • I’m very interested in this charming young pup.

I would love to have a conversation when time permits and if he’s still available.

Hi, I am sending a message for my friend, Thomas Lovett. Tom filled out an application for Rostam on Tuesday, 5/19/20. He wonders if you received his application. Thomas has also left you a couple of phone messages. He is VERY interested in Rostam. Can you please confirm that you received his application. Also, if he is on the list to be eligible to adopt Rostam?

    Thanks Very Much,
