Oliver

Oliver, severely abused with a broken spirit, arrived in June 2016. It would take months for him to make eye contact with us, allow us to feed him a treat from our hand and feel comfortable enough to roam the play yard. Week after week, he would hide in the bushes and just watch. Throughout that summer, Oliver learned to trust us. The day he gingerly took a treat from my hand was huge. Confidence was building and Oliver was healing one day at a time.
In September 2016 Jaime and Brandon officially adopted Oliver and accepted him just as he was – a work in progress. They appreciated his strength and knew he was a fighter. Today we were overjoyed to have a homecoming visit with sweet Oliver. Ollie is a different dog. He is healthy (mind and body), silly, cared for and loved.
Jaime and Brandon have done an amazing job bringing this sweet boy back from the edge. The first photo was taken today, the last photo is his first day at the rescue (See the difference? What a difference!).
Oliver can teach us all a lesson on coming back from very dark places. Thank you Jaime and Brandon for bringing our boy to see us today. We love him so.
