Mochi goes home

I remember the day that I was sent the picture of Mochi, (then Petunia) from the shelter in Texas. She was tiny at 12 weeks, and terrified and confused. She had been picked up as a stray and the only good thing about that, (in a shelter situation) is that she had more time to be saved. However on that day, her time was up. Mochi has been nothing but a joy to get to know. She was fearful and pretty checked out when she arrived. She blossomed and showed us her funny and loving personality. The sad part is that I will just have to remember the feel of holding her and patting her (now gently rounded) little bum. The happy part is that Kathryn will provide for her what we can not, a real, 24/7 home and all that goes with that. Mochi’s hard life is behind her. Watching Kathryn meet Mochi for the first time yesterday was so sweet and tearful. Truly this match was meant to be.
