#GivingTuesday
A Global Giving Movement | November 28, 2017

Beginning today, we will be sharing stories of some of the dogs that have their faces etched into our memories and have not only tugged, but pulled hard, at our heartstrings.

How do we do this? Why do we do this? The how is easy. We beg and plead and tell the stories and hope that your heart will be touched as ours were. We pray that donations will come in as adoption fees never come close to the cost of the rehabilitation. When they do not, we pull out our credit card and pay the bill and keep going.

Why do we do it? Because our call to rescue is not about numbers or fame or glory or impressing anyone. Rescue is about the one life at a time that has tipped so far over the edge toward death that living is a whispered cry in the far distance. We hear that cry and have to answer. We simply receive every plea for help as a gift. How it all balances out in the end is a huge unknown.

As we move toward the end of the year and the credit card debt that we carry has us feeling as if we are tipping over that edge, our plea is loud and clear and just as hopeful. We can not do this alone. We need your donations, which are tax deductible, in order to continue this work.

Our goal for #GivingTuesday is $10,000, which is 50% of what we carry. If the fact that Preston and Dougy and over 100 other dogs just this year have not lost their lives, and more importantly have completed real families speak to you, please open your hearts and donate on #GivingTuesday.  Thank you.
