A Bonus for Jaine

This beautiful girl arrived in February 2017. We named her Jaine, got her vetted with the go-ahead for adoption. Beautiful, young, healthy and, shall we say, exuberant, we had high hopes of placing her quickly. When folks came to meet her, she’d would say hello by jumping and leaping and pulling. Jaine wanted the world to know that she was ready for play and now was the time to do it!

Many folks were put off by her enthusiasm, Jaine would be a girl that would need a bit of work, a little tweaking and training. She was not your average grab and go dog. We consulted with our go-to trainer, Sam Smith, from Walk My Dog and he agreed to speak with and meet anyone interested in meeting Jaine. With her intelligence and willingess to please, she’d be an amazing addition to the right family willing to committ to her.

Fast forward to almost a year, we are thrilled to announce not only has Jaine found her human, she’s also found a buddy to share her new home with. Thomas, a Vermont resident, recently welcomed 20-month old Ruger into this home. Ruger, like Jaine, has energy to spare and needed a canine companion. Enter Jaine. Not only are they mirror images of each other, they are two peas sharing a doggie pod.

We believe that for every dog there is a human or family. We’ve had some long time (seven, eight-month plus) residents, but never lose hope in finding the right placement. Jaine is a prime example that patience and persistence counts.

Her new life has just begun. We’re thrilled to have shared her journey and know she and her new buddies, two- and four-legged, will be blessed with one another’s company and companionship.
